Lion on Giraffe kill

Lion on Giraffe kill

While in Kruger this April, we were told of a Giraffe kill up near Balule. As we were staying in Satara and things had been very slow we drove up and were rewarded with a super sighting (for us not the Giraffe!)

If predation bothers you, you might not want to view this listing, but it is life in the wild.

love the pics
by: Jenny

Satara usually is a game rich area, but this is the bush and animals do more around, so chatting to other guests will help you find where the movement is and get rewarded for your time, like you were.
Very nice pics I love the one where the lioness is rubbing herself against the giraffe.

"It's 768 pages of the most amazing information. It consists of, well, everything really. Photography info...area info...hidden roads..special places....what they have seen almost road by road. Where to stay just outside the Park...camp information. It takes quite a lot to impress me but I really feel that this book, which was 7 years in the making, is exceptional."            - Janey Coetzee, founder of CAROK (Camps and Roads of Kruger)  South Africa
